Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Have 4+ years of professional experience developing in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, or Golang.
- Bring hands-on experience and functional understanding of OpenTelemetry standards.
- Have experience with open-source tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Have observability experience with New Relic, Splunk, AppDynamics, Datadog, Dynatrace, Grafana Labs, or another observability platform.
- Understand Service Level Indicator and Service Level Objective (SLI/SLO) measurement approaches.
- Have experience with DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering service delivery disciplines.
- Bring hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless.
- Demonstrate presentation and communication skills at technical and executive levels.
- Analyze business requirements and customer interactions to anticipate and guide customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical evaluations by owning New Relic proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements and Solutions Architect workshops.
- Visit customer offices to understand and align with customer objectives.
- Build relationships with key customer contacts.
- Support customer observability transformation and maturity initiatives.
- Provide technical consulting, advisory support, and solution guidance during sales cycles, both on-site and remotely.
- Document customers’ current and desired observability states and design solutions to address identified gaps.
- Map desired business outcomes to required observability capabilities.
- Develop reference architectures, technical blogs, conference presentations, and field resources.
