Requirements
- Have five or more years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time in Go.
- Understand Go concurrency patterns, including goroutines, channels, and contexts.
- Have hands-on experience building production gRPC and/or REST APIs in Go.
- Have experience with Kubernetes-native development, including client-go or controller-runtime.
- Have experience with relational and key-value data stores.
- Understand distributed systems and networking fundamentals.
- Have experience with CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployment.
- Bring debugging and performance-engineering skills.
- Have strong communication and documentation skills.
- Preferred: contribute to Go-based open-source projects or have experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers.
- Preferred: familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, low-level systems programming, security-sensitive Go projects, WASM, TinyGo, or embedded systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance backend services using Go.
- Build infrastructure tooling and cloud-native applications.
- Work on systems where latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency are key concerns.
- Contribute to a codebase shared by engineers across multiple teams.
- Work with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and design reviews.
- Mentor more junior engineers.
