Requirements
- Hold an advanced scientific degree: PharmD, MD, or PhD.
- Have 2+ years of industry experience in a pharmaceutical Medical Affairs setting.
- Have 2+ years of Medical Information and Medical Communication Operations experience.
- Have professional experience in call center operations and Medical Information Inquiry tracking.
- Have experience writing Standard Response Letters and working with medical operations policies.
- Have working knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulations, and industry standards.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Veeva Vault Promomats and medical information databases is strongly preferred.
- Oncology experience is a plus.
- Work Monday through Friday during standard business hours; travel may be up to one day a month.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve escalated medical and safety inquiries from consumers, healthcare professionals, and other external contacts.
- Compose and update standard response documents, obtain Medical, Legal, and Regulatory approval for new documents, and write custom responses.
- Provide efficacy, safety, and scientific information in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Identify, document, and report adverse events, special situation events, and product complaints to Pharmacovigilance.
- Review clinical trial eligibility and connect patients or caregivers with appropriate trial contacts when applicable.
- Create medical materials for patients, healthcare providers, and population health decision makers.
- Participate as a medical reviewer in Promotional Review Committee and Medical Review Committee activities.
- Document, triage, and fulfill medical information inquiries accurately and promptly.
- Troubleshoot medical information database vendor issues and generate metrics and reports.
