Requirements
- Have 10+ years of professional software engineering experience in infrastructure, platform, or cloud services.
- Demonstrate professional proficiency in Go.
- Have built and operated a cloud control and management plane that provisions, upgrades, and monitors infrastructure for multiple tenants or environments in production.
- Have Kubernetes experience beyond deployment, including writing controllers or operators and understanding reconciliation and CRDs.
- Have hands-on experience with compute, networking, identity, and managed services in at least one major cloud.
- Be able to pick up a second cloud quickly.
- Have production ownership experience, including on-call, incident response, SLOs, and post-mortems.
- Have distributed systems design experience, including fault tolerance, consistency, observability, and idempotent reconciliation.
- Strongly preferred: experience with Kubernetes resource orchestration and cloud controllers such as KRO.
- Strongly preferred: experience with release engineering and software supply chain, including OCI registries, digests, and license compliance.
- Strongly preferred: experience with private cloud connectivity, OpenTelemetry pipelines, managed services, or isolated execution environments such as Firecracker or microVMs.
- Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the systems that deploy, release, and operate Docker's agentic platform for enterprise customers in Go and on Kubernetes.
- Make the platform run consistently across cloud providers and environments, with enterprise security, identity, and network boundaries.
- Own the release and supply chain path so every deployment is reproducible, verifiable, and trusted.
- Own production operations, including on-call, SLOs, incident response, and operational tooling.
- Set technical direction with the team's architect and engineering leadership, and work with partner teams across runtime, developer experience, identity, and observability.
- Raise the bar through design review, testing discipline, and mentorship.
