Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of professional experience, including 1+ years working in personal lines insurance within data analysis, actuarial, product analytics, or a related function.
- Strong SQL capabilities and hands-on experience using BigQuery and/or SQL Server.
- Advanced experience developing, maintaining, and interpreting Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Advanced Excel capabilities and strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Proficiency in Python or R for analytical work, automation, or data processing.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools for research, analysis, and productivity.
- Experience working with global and/or U.S.-based business teams.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including explaining analytical findings to business stakeholders.
- Ability to independently manage complex problems, determine approaches, and make sound decisions with limited direction.
- Ability to work approximately 8 hours per day, including 4 core U.S. hours of overlap from 7:30 PM–11:30 PM IST and 4 flexible hours.
- Reliable remote-work setup with a quiet workspace and internet connectivity of at least 30 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
Responsibilities
- Write, maintain, and optimize SQL queries across BigQuery and SQL Server for reporting, business analysis, and ad hoc requests.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards tracking insurance KPIs, including quotes, binds, retention, premium, and business mix.
- Conduct descriptive and diagnostic analyses to identify trends, performance drivers, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Evaluate product and business changes using cohort, pre/post, and trend analysis.
- Gather, organize, analyze, and summarize competitor information to inform pricing and product decisions.
- Partner with Product Managers and business leaders to turn findings into actionable recommendations.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity through quality checks, reconciliations, source validation, and documentation.
- Work independently on complex cross-functional issues and proactively identify problems and opportunities.
- Use Python or R and AI-enabled tools to improve research, analysis, and operational efficiency.
