Requirements
- Have 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production systems from initial design through ongoing operation.
- Bring strong hands-on experience with Python and TypeScript.
- Have experience building and operating software on AWS and Azure.
- Understand production software engineering principles, including system design, reliability, testing, deployment, and operational ownership.
- Have experience building systems that reliably process large volumes of data.
- Have experience developing software in multi-tenant environments.
- Understand internet-facing attack-surface concepts, including domains, DNS, IP addresses, certificates, ports, and network services.
- Be familiar with vulnerability data and standards such as CVE and CVSS.
- Have practical experience regularly using AI tools for software design, development, testing, or code review.
- Be able to contribute to design documents and code reviews and collaborate with and mentor teammates.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and operate services for the Exposure Management product across the production lifecycle.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of scanning, asset discovery, and external attack-surface capabilities.
- Build systems that discover and process internet-facing assets and security data at scale.
- Maintain accurate, current, reliable, and actionable security and exposure data for clients.
- Improve software identification and vulnerability prioritization using AI-driven engineering approaches.
- Develop scalable systems for processing large data volumes in multi-tenant production environments.
- Collaborate with Product, Threat Research, and client-facing teams to deliver production-ready features.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing service operations.
- Identify technical and product issues, communicate risks, and drive problems through to resolution.
- Mentor teammates and evaluate tools and approaches that improve engineering productivity and platform effectiveness.
