Requirements
- Have 1-3 years of experience in a SaaS sales capacity.
- Have experience as a music educator or equivalent experience in music SaaS sales.
- Demonstrate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, including data-driven decision-making.
- Have negotiation and influencing skills and a results-driven approach.
- Have strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be organized and able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Be able to take ownership of assignments while working closely with others in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Be willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time for company events, meetings, training, customer events, trade shows, and customer visits.
- Familiarity with MakeMusic Cloud (formerly SmartMusic) is desired.
- Working knowledge of CRM tools is desired.
- Familiarity with Google Suite tools is desired.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize target K-12 schools and districts with music programs using market research and industry insights.
- Work with the Business Development Team to develop a sales pipeline from prospective new accounts.
- Make outbound calls, conduct product demos, and visit pre-selected strategic target customers.
- Contact prospects through phone calls, emails, meetings, and other communication channels.
- Educate prospects about products, services, and benefits; handle objections and demonstrate value.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and cold prospecting through pipeline management, negotiation, and close.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and targets.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of customer information, interactions, sales activities, and progress toward goals.
- Provide pipeline visibility and revenue forecasts, and transition paying customers to Customer Success.
- Maintain product knowledge, share prospect feedback internally, and refine value propositions and talk tracks.
