Requirements
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have at least one year of experience in service delivery, customer service, call center technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Be proficient in data entry, including keyboard, mouse, and 10-key pad use.
- Have experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows products.
- Know customer service techniques, including how to handle upset callers.
- Know policies and procedures involved in SDU payment processing and child support policies.
- Know the SMI and state client child support system.
- Be able to interpret, apply, analyze, and explain laws, procedures, and regulations related to SDU payment processing procedures and programs.
- Be able to maintain accurate records, respond promptly to customer needs, and identify and resolve errors.
- Be able to work independently, meet schedules and timelines, and work confidentially with discretion.
- Be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing and use tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Be able to work varied schedules and overtime hours as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer service calls from child support customers and other stakeholders according to standard operating procedures and contract requirements.
- Respond to customer correspondence according to standard operating procedures and contract requirements.
- Process correspondence in accordance with standard operating procedures and contract requirements.
- Document correspondence and customer contacts.
- Complete SMI system and state system updates.
