Requirements
- Have 1-2 years of related professional experience in building engineering and design, such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, audiovisual, or low-voltage systems, or equivalent education.
- Hold a relevant two-year technical degree, such as an AS in Engineering Technology, or higher.
- AutoCAD and Revit design software experience is preferred, but not required.
- AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification is preferred, or commit to achieving it within 12 months.
- Have a general understanding of commercial and institutional AV technology applications, building systems, and design and construction processes.
- Be familiar with audio systems, video display technologies, collaboration solutions, digital signage, AV signal management, and integrated control systems.
- Be familiar with data networking, HVAC, electrical, lighting, building controls, security, and AE design documentation.
- Have a suitable environment for audio and video calls.
- Be able to travel minimally (less than 10%), mainly for training, occasional staff meetings, or project site reviews.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Bluebeam, and relevant AI tools.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned production tasks within established schedule, effort, and quality expectations.
- Support development and revision of AV drawings, models, schedules, details, and related documentation.
- Develop defined portions of AV designs under guidance.
- Incorporate redlines and update device plans, schedules, rack elevations, details, and other assigned documentation.
- Apply established templates, standards, naming conventions, and workflows.
- Research products and technical information as directed.
- Perform self-checks, participate in reviews, and respond accurately and completely to comments.
- Track assignments, communicate progress, and promptly raise questions or constraints.
- Coordinate assigned tasks with the project team and maintain organized project files.
