Job Details

Have 5+ years of experience building highly scalable, performant, and evolvable backend distributed systems.
Bring proficiency in Spring with Kotlin and/or Java; Kotlin, Java, and/or Go experience is preferred.
Demonstrate backend development best practices and mentor others in coding and architectural strategies.
Know clean code, hexagonal or layered architectures, domain-driven design, and other design and architectural patterns.
Understand observability practices, including logging, monitoring, and tracing in distributed systems.
Bring expertise in Agile software delivery and experience modeling and driving process improvements across teams.
Collaborate across diverse teams in large enterprise environments.
Have experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or Amazon SQS and event-driven architectures.
Be comfortable with cloud-native technologies and infrastructure as code, such as Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
Be open to occasional travel to offices and other locations.

Develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality software into production.
Build features and tools used by you and your team.
Participate in the on-call rotation to troubleshoot software issues when needed.
Participate in code reviews, team planning, and design discussions.
Improve testability, operational excellence metrics, and team documentation.
Help define and follow engineering principles, guidelines, and best practices.
Work with product teams and internal stakeholders on technology decisions.
Help onboard and mentor junior engineers and interns.
Travel occasionally to Fanatics offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team-building activities.
