Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree; a master's degree is preferred.
- Have current, up-to-date College Board AP Seminar/AP Research certification, including completion of required College Board training.
- Have direct experience teaching AP Seminar and/or AP Research through the College Board's AP Capstone program.
- Have strong working knowledge of College Board scoring rubrics, performance task requirements, and submission processes via the AP Digital Portfolio.
- Experience teaching AP Seminar and/or AP Research in a virtual or online setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach AP Seminar and/or AP Research to a small class of students remotely.
- Deliver 2–3 hours of live instruction each week during the academic year.
- Guide students through AP Capstone performance tasks in line with current College Board requirements.
- Create asynchronous learning activities and assignments to help students stay on pace and complete AP course content and required components.
- Use the LMS, College Board resources, and Zoom to deliver lessons.
- Deliver instruction using proven methods and materials within the official AP Capstone course guides.
