Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of wind industry experience.
  • Have 3+ years of direct V82 experience.
  • Have a proven troubleshooting background.
  • Demonstrate independent fault diagnosis.
  • Have V82 repower experience.
  • Execute work safely and repeatably.
  • Be able to coach other technicians.
  • Have strong Vestas V82 troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and controls troubleshooting, including fault finding and PLC and control-system troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose power conversion issues, sensor failures, communication faults, and generator faults.
  • Provide startup and reset support.
  • Support generator replacements and alignment.
  • Troubleshoot gearboxes and pitch systems.
  • Replace pitch motors and accumulators.
  • Provide blade bearing support.
  • Prepare for yaw drive replacement.
  • Support or coach other technicians.
