Requirements
- Have 2-4 years of experience as a data scientist or data analyst.
- Demonstrate the ability to apply scientific methods to real-world problems using web-scale data.
- Have a strong working knowledge of Python for training machine learning models and putting them into production.
- Have a solid understanding of SQL and the ability to efficiently pull data from and write data to data warehouses.
- Understand subscription media and recommendation engines and how to turn that knowledge into insights and optimizations.
- Know statistical principles and how they apply to predictive modeling.
- Build cross-functional relationships through strong verbal and written communication.
- Explain sophisticated concepts to diverse audiences and craft stories with data.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement mathematical models to support long-term product goals, including subscription prediction and article recommendations.
- Lead projects with hands-on analysis and modeling, choosing appropriate analytical methods and levels of complexity.
- Use quantitative analysis to understand user feedback and develop recommendations.
- Design and develop data science pipelines in production.
- Guide complex experiments.
- Cultivate a data science environment.
