Requirements
- Have 2–3 years of professional experience in U.S. accounting, general ledger maintenance, or finance operations.
- Hold an MBA in Finance, an M.Com, or be a Semi-Qualified CA; these qualifications are preferred.
- Have hands-on experience with a standard ERP system; Oracle NetSuite is preferred.
- Demonstrate strong MS Excel proficiency, including lookup formulas, pivot tables, data reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Understand core U.S. accounting concepts, including general ledger, accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.
- Understand accounting principles, accrual mechanics, prepaid amortization, and bank/general ledger reconciliations.
- Have basic familiarity with U.S. statutory compliance requirements.
- Be comfortable working shift hours from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM IST.
- Manage deliverables across U.S. and India time zones.
Responsibilities
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes in Oracle NetSuite.
- Maintain general ledger hygiene and accurate ledger postings.
- Maintain schedules for prepaids, fixed assets, and client retainer liabilities.
- Prepare vendor, agency, contractor, legal/severance, and employee-related accruals.
- Conduct bank, intercompany, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies through detailed ledger scrutiny.
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and perform daily bank data matching.
- Prepare monthly cost-center allocation schedules.
- Ensure data accuracy and adherence to SOPs and internal controls.
