Requirements
- Have 3+ years of experience in a business role or as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
- Have 4+ years of experience as an expert contributor on a systems team.
- Demonstrate experience leading product development, prioritizing work, and delivering outcomes aligned with business strategy.
- Have deep knowledge of internal- and external-facing UI technology and related backend systems supporting insurance activities.
- Be able to serve as a Product Owner for one or more Agile Release Train cars.
- Have a conceptual understanding of the SAFe framework, its roles, processes, and collaboration methods.
- Be familiar with the insurance industry and operational business processes.
- Have a broad understanding of cloud, client-server, SaaS, and Enterprise Architecture.
- Demonstrate leadership, collaboration, negotiation, time-management, prioritization, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Be able to independently manage complex, multi-year initiatives.
- Preferred: Analyze and map complex data flows across systems, including relationships between UI and backend systems.
- Preferred: Understand Group Insurance concepts, including member enrollment lifecycles, member management, premium, and billing.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams and Agile Release Train resources to deliver product solutions aligned with strategic visions.
- Manage and refine product backlogs based on business value, stakeholder input, and strategic priorities.
- Partner with ART leadership, business owners, subject matter experts, and other Product Owners to define and refine features and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in planning, demos, retrospectives, and other Agile Release Train ceremonies.
- Track business outcomes, adjust priorities, and resolve delivery challenges.
- Coordinate transitions to operations, including training and communication.
- Identify and address risks with system delivery teams, escalating and resolving issues to keep projects on track.
