Job Details

Have data engineering experience in a startup or scale-up, building a platform rather than inheriting one.
Have strong SQL and Python skills and judgment about when not to solve a problem in the warehouse.
Have designed a data model used by others and be able to discuss what you would change.
Have hands-on experience with messy external sources, including APIs, flat files, scraped pages, or PDFs.
Have entity resolution or record linkage experience, or clear evidence of aptitude in these areas.
Apply commercial judgment to prioritize data problems that block revenue.
Investigate why data is wrong before proposing a fix.
Build systems that scale rather than one-off pipelines.
Bring genuine AI fluency and an interest in making work repeatable through automation.
Be comfortable working remotely across timezones with autonomy and limited oversight.
Show curiosity about public sector data.

Build reliable, observable, and cost-effective pipelines for supplier, agency, solicitation, and contract data.
Diagnose data quality issues and create a trusted dataset for analytics.
Design a canonical model that resolves supplier identities and standardizes contracts, commodities, and agencies.
Build testing, lineage, and freshness capabilities to establish data provenance.
Provide self-serve data for product, customer success, and analytics teams.
Design ingestion and storage strategies for agentic procurement workflows.
Optimize vector pipelines such as Pinecone for retrieval-augmented generation.
Build repeatable systems and tooling that support new data sources without ongoing manual intervention.
