Requirements
- Bring 7+ years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales, sales engineering, or customer support with IBM Sterling B2Bi.
- Have deep Sterling B2Bi product expertise across administration, configuration, development, support, and deployment.
- Demonstrate the ability to engage technical practitioners and executive stakeholders across complex buyer and seller teams.
- Have experience scoping and positioning professional services engagements, including delivery boundaries, SOW basics, and client expectation-setting.
- Have experience in OEM, reseller, or co-sell partner sales motions.
- Develop technical sales and enablement content independently, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be proficient with AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or equivalent for technical documentation, solution write-ups, cadence content, competitive analysis, and demos.
- Be able to discuss AI and agentic trends and Precisely's Sterling AI agents with IBM technical sellers and clients.
- Stay current on Sterling ecosystem dynamics and IBM go-to-market shifts, using AI-assisted research to qualify and position Precisely's AI-ready data offering without overpromising.
- Be willing to travel 10–20% for field engagement, including in-person enablement sessions, IBM offices, client sites, and events.
- Preferred: experience with Precisely or IBM Sterling teams, application integration, managed file transfer, electronic data interchange, systems sizing and architecture, or establishing and scaling a subject matter expert practice.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical bridge between IBM's Sterling ecosystem and Precisely's efforts to win, accelerate, and protect Sterling revenue.
- Own technical field enablement across IBM Technology Sellers, Expert Labs architects, Brand Sales Specialists, and Business Partners.
- Qualify deals, assist with configurations, size environments, and run demos to advance IBM technology seller pipeline.
- Build Sterling knowledge and deal readiness across IBM technical seller audiences.
- Scope pre-sale professional services engagements and hand off to the Precisely Sterling delivery team at close.
- Develop technical pre-sales enablement content, including prospecting guides, call scripts, competitive positioning, and objection-handling frameworks.
- Deliver solution demonstrations and architecture discussions for executive and engineering audiences.
- Provide field feedback to Precisely Product, Engineering, Support, and Professional Services teams to inform roadmaps and go-to-market priorities.
- Engage IBM Sterling Business Partners for post-sale delivery and advocate for Precisely with IBM Sterling technology sellers.
