Requirements
- Have a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a calling to corporate chaplain services.
- Be a spiritually mature Christian committed to CCA’s Christian mission and Statement of Faith.
- Participate actively in a local Christian church and demonstrate personal integrity consistent with a mature Christian walk of faith.
- Respect CCA’s other Christian beliefs and abide by its Christian community standards.
- Possess language skills and cultural understanding applicable to the employees served to communicate clearly.
- Have a computer and smartphone for receiving calls and documenting activities.
- Be able to use a computer, software such as Word and Excel, the internet, and a cell phone.
- Be able to multitask, including data entry while talking or messaging.
- Adhere to CCA’s confidentiality policy and submit reports on time.
- Attend online team meetings, training, and other meetings called by CCA leadership.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies is preferred; other applicable experience includes seminary study, missionary service, or church leadership.
- Customer service or prior telephone and messaging experience in a call-center environment is a plus.
- Denominational ordination may apply; chaplain, counseling, or pastoral-care qualifications are a plus.
- Work up to 29 hours per week; the posting describes three midnight shifts from 12:00am to 6:00am and shifts from 12:00 pm to 12:00am Eastern.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls, texts, and messages during assigned shifts.
- Assess callers’ spiritual and physical needs and respond with care and prayer.
- Share the Gospel with permission and, where appropriate, lead people to a salvation experience.
- Record and report data during and after each shift.
- Follow CCA’s Standard Operating Procedures.
- Build and maintain communication and trust with chaplains and managers.
- Lead or participate in Biblical devotions, worship, and prayer as needed.
- Provide local chaplain support during emergencies when needed.
- Assist with funeral services if ordained and needed.
