Requirements
- Have 5+ years of dedicated social media experience within a technology company; B2B technology, security, or defense technology experience is preferred.
- Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of a social media program and measurable audience and engagement growth across multiple platforms.
- Have hands-on experience planning, launching, and optimizing paid social campaigns, including goals, targeting, placements, and budgets.
- Have experience developing executive and employee social presence, including executive ghostwriting, employee advocacy, or ambassador programs.
- Have experience managing agencies, freelancers, contractors, or other external creative partners.
- Be familiar with social media scheduling, listening, and analytics tools and translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Use sound judgment about what can be shared publicly, particularly regarding customers, security, sensitive information, or regulated environments.
- Be able to establish standards, coach employees, and help senior leaders strengthen their social presence.
- Collaborate across marketing, product, leadership, operations, PR, and other cross-functional teams.
- Communicate clearly, influence senior stakeholders and external partners, and take a proactive, hands-on approach.
Responsibilities
- Own social media strategy across priority channels, including LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, and YouTube, and evaluate emerging platforms.
- Define channel objectives, audiences, voice, visual guidelines, and growth approach.
- Set social media metrics, analyze performance and competitors, and recommend strategic improvements.
- Plan and optimize paid social campaigns, including objectives, audiences, placements, and budgets.
- Lead the content calendar and create and publish content with internal teams and external creative partners.
- Manage day-to-day audience engagement and build a presence in relevant professional groups, forums, and online communities.
- Lead integrated social campaigns and real-time coverage for company moments, launches, conferences, and events.
- Develop executive social presence and launch an employee social media ambassador program with tools, coaching, and content.
- Establish content review, approval, escalation, and brand-safety processes, and create employee social media guidelines and training.
