- One year of health care experience is preferred, either with a physician, a hospital, or in admissions.
- Work full-time year-round, on five 8-hour day shifts per week.
- Be able to live and work primarily in one of the listed states: AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, MI, NC, NJ, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI.
Responsibilities
- Resolve patient and insurance issues through phone calls, voicemails, correspondence, and work with walk-in patients.
- Verify patient account balances and take and enter payments into the system.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members to resolve accounts.
- Process mail and patient refunds as required.
- Perform cash posting, billing, and patient follow-up as required.
- Handle 95% of calls presented to individual Customer Service Call Center queues.
- Fully document account activity in the patient accounting system.
