Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience in similar roles, such as Engineering Manager or Team Leader.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in people management and leadership.
- Have experience with two or more programming languages or have played an important role on the technical side of software development.
- Have practical experience with GitLab and Jira.
- Have practical experience with Claude or ChatGPT.
- Hold a master's degree in computer science or have equivalent practical experience.
- Have excellent Polish language skills and English at B2+ level.
- Be located in Poland and hold a valid work permit.
- Nice to have: a developer or architect background, experience at an in-house product development company or SaaS product company, and experience in agile environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support up to three teams, taking ownership of team performance and key results.
- Monitor team progress, health, and predictability across sprints, cycles, and projects.
- Improve how teams plan, work, and deliver; resolve problems and remove impediments.
- Ensure teams have the tools and resources they need, and manage team budgets, visibility, and recognition.
- Own the performance and development of team members through feedback, evaluations, career goals, coaching, and mentoring.
- Manage salaries, absences, expenses, and bonuses.
- Represent IT within the teams and work closely with other Engineering Managers and Product Managers.
- Contribute to IT strategy and department-wide improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing, and guild activities.
