Requirements

  • Hold a four-year degree in Computer Science, Business, Healthcare, or another technology or security discipline.
  • Have 7–10 years of information security experience designing, deploying, managing, monitoring, and evaluating advanced cybersecurity.
  • Have experience with incident response, security engineering, cloud architectures, and tuning in a SaaS environment.
  • Understand application architectures and security.
  • Have knowledge of secure coding and best practices.
  • Be proficient in programming or scripting languages.
  • Have hands-on automation and DevOps skills.
  • Have experience with security tools and frameworks such as AWS WAF and CDK, and threat modeling methodologies.
  • Have experience with APIs and DevSec practices.
  • Information security certifications such as Azure Fundamentals/AZ-900, CISSP, or CISM, or comparable work experience, are preferred.
  • Risk analysis or assessment experience is a plus; healthcare practices, HIPAA, and applicable data privacy practices are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Automate security processes, manage AWS WAF rules, and use CDK nag rules for preventive controls.
  • Analyze and improve security policies, identify and patch application and infrastructure vulnerabilities, and lead security programs and projects.
  • Develop and implement DevSec practices that integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
  • Use software to detect and remediate issues and enforce security standards in AWS and Azure environments.
  • Conduct security assessments of cloud applications and APIs.
  • Develop cloud API, cloud application security, and cloud security monitoring controls.
  • Analyze log files and data outputs, and triage incoming issues using a ticketing and tracking system.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes and deployments.
  • Engineer and tune cloud security solutions, including enrollment, monitoring, alerting, and security posture maintenance.
