Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Have 7+ years of Java development experience.
- Have strong experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
- Have experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or Db2.
- Have experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Be able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Preferred: Experience with containers and cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.
- Preferred: Oracle Certified Professional Java certification.
- Preferred: Experience supporting federal government contracts.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex Java applications, microservices, and REST APIs.
- Create technical designs, break work into tasks, and estimate effort.
- Lead code reviews and enforce coding and security standards.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
- Mentor Java developers and support their growth.
- Work with DevOps staff to improve build and deployment pipelines.
