Job Details

Have 6+ years of backend development experience.
Have 2+ years of team leadership experience.
Be an expert in PHP 8 and able to work across PHP, TypeScript, Vue/Nuxt, React/Next.js, and Flutter code.
Have strong database architecture skills, including data modelling, migrations, and query optimization in MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Have experience with Docker in production.
Use AI development tools daily, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, and have experience writing agent instructions for a team.
Conduct code reviews with attention to logic, data safety, and security bugs, not only style.
Have experience with Stripe or a similar payment provider and REST API integrations.
Be a native Russian speaker and fluent in English.
Work strictly on New York time (EST/EDT).
Nice to have: hands-on ProcessWire development, Flutter development and app store releases, subscription billing or fintech experience, and CapRover or another Docker PaaS or CI/CD setup.

Own the architecture and technical roadmap of all Whizz systems.
Review every pull request before merge and maintain a clear review standard.
Design and maintain database architecture across MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Own Docker images, deployments, and environments.
Drive AI-assisted development across the team, including agent instructions, prompts, and rules for reviewing AI-generated code.
Turn product requirements into technical tasks and mentor backend, frontend, and mobile developers.
Lead incident response and ship root-cause fixes.
