Requirements
- Have a minimum of 8+ years of commercial experience in software development.
- Have very good knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and enterprise application development.
- Have experience acting as a Tech Lead, Lead Developer, or senior technical mentor.
- Have experience developing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven applications.
- Have experience with REST APIs, messaging solutions such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, and system integrations.
- Have experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Have experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understand software design principles, scalability, security, and performance optimization.
- Be able to support technical decision-making and guide development teams.
- Have English and German proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Machine Learning, LLM, or AI-driven solutions experience, or a strong interest in developing expertise in this area, is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Lead technical initiatives within the development team and support engineers in delivering high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to understand business needs.
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution design.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following engineering best practices.
- Review code, mentor team members, and promote high engineering standards.
- Identify technical challenges and proactively propose improvements.
- Support software delivery throughout the entire development lifecycle.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, CI/CD, and engineering practices.
- Explore and evaluate new technologies and engineering approaches.
