Requirements

Have 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
Bring strong Java and/or Kotlin skills.
Have experience with Spring Boot and microservice architectures.
Know Kafka or another event-streaming or messaging platform.
Have experience with REST APIs and system integrations.
Know SQL and PostgreSQL or another relational database.
Have experience with Docker and CI/CD.
Have experience with production systems and incident or failure handling.
Have good English.
Be able to work independently and take technical ownership.
Commercial experience in banking, investment banking, capital markets, or another regulated financial environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Build backend services using Java and/or Kotlin.
Develop Spring Boot-based microservices and APIs.
Build event-driven and distributed systems.
Develop high-volume transactional and data-processing services.
Create integration layers connecting internal and external financial systems.
Design services with consistency, resilience, and auditability in mind.
Develop production-ready systems designed for scale, high availability, and observability.
Work with senior engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to develop technical solutions.
