Requirements
- Have 7+ years of SAP experience.
- Have 2+ years of SAP data conversion experience across SAP ECC, IBP, and/or SRM environments.
- Have hands-on experience with data migration tools and methodologies such as LSMW, SAP Migration Cockpit/LTMC, BODS, or equivalent ETL tools.
- Have experience performing data profiling, cleansing, and reconciliation in an SAP conversion project.
- Have strong Excel and data analysis skills for large-scale data mapping and validation.
- Experience with SAP Employee Central or Employee Central Payroll data conversion is a bonus.
- Familiarity with legacy SAP HCM/Payroll infotypes and their mapping to the Employee Central object model is a bonus.
- Experience leading mock conversion or cutover cycles on a federal or large enterprise SAP program is a bonus.
- PMP or equivalent project leadership experience for teams of 3+ analysts is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Lead data quality, profiling, and cleansing analysis across legacy source systems, identifying gaps, anomalies, and remediation requirements.
- Design the data migration solution and end-to-end strategy, including source-to-target mapping, ETL approach, and appropriate tooling.
- Define and document conversion rules, mapping logic, and business rules for employee master data, payroll infotypes, time and absence data, and organizational structures.
- Write technical specifications for extraction, transformation, validation, and load processes, maintaining traceability from legacy fields to target fields.
- Lead mock conversion cycles and reconciliation, including validation and exception reports and error-resolution processes.
- Develop and execute the conversion cutover plan, including sequencing, downtime windows, fallback procedures, and go-live readiness criteria.
- Coordinate with SAP functional consultants, technical developers, and client data owners to align functional design and conversion approach.
- Manage the data migration team through task assignment, deliverable quality review, and mentoring of junior analysts.
- Report migration status, risks, and issues to program leadership and client stakeholders, and maintain governance documentation.
