Requirements
- Be a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Hold active DEA registration and full practice authority in Virginia.
- Have experience and a strong passion for working with LGBTQIA+ clients.
- Bring sound knowledge and experience prescribing and adjusting medications across clinical indications, client demographics, and acuity levels.
- Demonstrate cultural competence in affirming, identity-centered care.
- Be comfortable working in a fully remote telehealth setting.
- Be skilled in clinical assessment and timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation.
- Have experience building psychiatric SOPs from the ground up.
- A dual license across Virginia and Maryland is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop medication-management SOPs, clinical protocols, and workflows before seeing clients.
- Prescribe medications in alignment with identity-affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients.
- Conduct clinical assessments and maintain timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation in the Avon EMR.
- Work with clinical leadership to improve protocols and the care model using insights from client work.
- Inform clients about the science, safety, and experience of mental health care.
