Requirements
- Have at least 3 years of WordPress experience.
- Have experience with PHP, custom themes, custom fields such as ACF or similar, hooks, WP REST API, and WP_Query.
- Know Bedrock, Sage/Blade, and Composer, or be willing to learn them quickly.
- Have frontend skills including Tailwind, Vite, JavaScript, responsive design, and semantic HTML.
- Use AI tools in daily work and be able to verify generated output; Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot are named examples.
- Have English proficiency of at least B2.
- Work independently and accurately, organize work effectively, and manage tasks from estimation through deployment.
- Webflow, WooCommerce, Laravel, Nuxt, Strapi, WCAG, and security hardening are listed as nice-to-haves.
Responsibilities
- Build and develop WordPress websites using custom themes with Bedrock, Sage, Blade, Tailwind, and Vite, without page builders.
- Maintain and enhance existing client websites with updates, fixes, and new functionality.
- Work with WPML and WooCommerce on client sites.
- Complete smaller tasks outside WordPress, including Webflow work, static landing pages, and minor changes to Nuxt/React projects.
- Improve website performance using PageSpeed and Core Web Vitals considerations.
- Address accessibility, including WCAG, and technical SEO.
- Collaborate with the lead developer, designers, and project manager.
- Take ownership of tasks from estimation through deployment.
