Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience leading technical teams, including hiring, coaching, and developing engineers.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data integration, ETL, or data engineering.
- 3+ years of relational database experience; SQL Server is preferred, including proficiency in T-SQL and stored procedures.
- 3+ years of ETL experience; SQL Server Integration Services is preferred.
- Exposure to data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
- 3+ years of experience working directly with external partners or vendors in a client-facing capacity.
- Demonstrated experience using AI to accelerate workflows and ensure quality.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP.
- Understanding of relational database and data warehouse concepts.
- Understanding of web technologies, including APIs and SSO.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and delivery commitments across concurrent projects and stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating across technical and business teams and communicating technical details to executive and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred: vendor management, contract or SLA oversight, data modeling, or cloud integration experience.
- Preferred: experience in healthcare, healthcare technology, or another regulated industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, hire, onboard, and develop a team of Vendor Integration Engineers.
- Own vendor and partner integration delivery from intake and discovery through build, testing, go-live, and ongoing support.
- Set and enforce standards for integration formats, transport methods, data mapping, error handling, and documentation.
- Review integration specifications and designs produced by the team.
- Lead triage, root cause analysis, corrective action, and stability planning for integration incidents.
- Review complex SQL, stored procedures, ETL pipelines, and monitoring and alerting configurations, and work directly in the technology when needed.
- Translate client and business requirements into technical plans, estimates, and integration readiness updates.
- Manage team capacity, workload, and resourcing across onboardings, enhancements, and production support.
- Communicate integration status, risk, and performance to executives and vendors, and maintain partner technical relationships and governance.
- Partner with Legal, Security, and Compliance; improve automation and observability; and report operational metrics.
