Have 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend or full-stack application development, including production services or APIs.
Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or have equivalent relevant professional experience.
Bring experience building, deploying, and maintaining production services or APIs.
Have strong TypeScript proficiency and solid backend development experience, with the ability to contribute to front-end functionality when needed.
Have working knowledge of REST APIs, asynchronous data flows, and relational SQL data modeling.
Write readable, tested code while addressing reliability, security, observability, and operational requirements.
Have experience developing and operating software in a cloud environment such as GCP or AWS.
Communicate technical proposals and decisions clearly in writing and verbally.
Own features through delivery and collaborate across engineering, data, and product teams.
Be able to participate in on-call responsibilities and respond effectively to production incidents.
Preferred: experience building data products or working in fintech, banking, or another regulated industry.
Familiarity with NestJS, TypeORM, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, BullMQ, pnpm, or Turborepo is a plus.

Own Data Platform features from technical design and development through deployment, monitoring, and production support.
Translate customer needs into technical designs and incremental delivery plans.
Build and maintain REST APIs that provide platform data to customer business intelligence tools.
Develop backend services and data flows across queues, databases, APIs, and customer-facing interfaces.
Create self-service interfaces for configuring data egress workflows.
Develop webpage automations to capture and analyze aggregate event data while maintaining privacy and security controls.
Design data models, API contracts, and system integrations with validation, error handling, and observability.
Collaborate with data and software engineers on Data Platform products.
Write and review maintainable, well-tested code and document technical decisions.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, investigate root causes, and improve system reliability.
