Requirements
- Have three or more years of experience building and shipping enterprise web applications.
- Be proficient in TypeScript and a modern component framework; Vue is preferred.
- Have server-side development experience in an object-oriented language; Java with Spring Boot and TypeScript on Node.js are preferred.
- Have working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including SQL.
- Be able to identify queries that will not scale.
- Have experience writing automated tests for code you ship.
- Be able to communicate strongly in writing; most company decisions happen in writing.
- Pass a federal, state, and county background check.
- Complete a local in-person verification.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship customer-facing features across Vue components, backend services, and data models and migrations.
- Design and document API endpoints, including pagination, filtering, and error handling.
- Instrument releases with logging and metrics, monitor results, and address issues identified by the data.
- Work with product and design to turn roadmap requirements into technical plans and shippable increments.
- Write unit and end-to-end tests for customer-critical flows.
- Review code and participate in reviews of your own work.
- Improve performance, technical debt, and maintainability in existing code.
- Take part in the team’s on-call rotation.
- Contribute to the shared component library.
