Requirements

  • Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to a United States bar, or a UK law degree (LLB) with solicitor or barrister qualification and admission or entitlement to practice in England & Wales or another UK jurisdiction.
  • Have 2+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) gained in a law firm or in-house legal environment.
  • Demonstrate strong drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in commercial agreements.
  • Have familiarity with regulatory compliance topics such as data privacy, anti-bribery, or competition law.
  • Have experience in legal research, project coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Be based in the United States or United Kingdom and hold the unrestricted right to work there.
  • Be based anywhere in the United States or United Kingdom; the role may be fully remote or hybrid from a company office, depending on location.
  • Be able to accommodate colleagues and clients in other time zones with some flexibility in working hours.
  • Experience using legal AI tools is highly desired.
  • Experience with contracts in the IP enforcement or content and brand protection industry is highly desired.
  • Additional language capability beyond English is desired.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional services environment is desired.
  • Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate client MSAs, SOWs, vendor and partnership agreements, NDAs, and licensing and procurement agreements.
  • Own contract lifecycle management, tracking key terms, obligations, deadlines, and renewals across the contract portfolio.
  • Support proposals and RFP responses with timely input on contractual terms and risk-related matters.
  • Assist with implementing and monitoring internal policies on data privacy, anti-bribery, competition, and third-party risk.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews supporting compliance with GDPR, CCPA, the UK Bribery Act, and the FCPA.
  • Develop, refine, and deliver internal training materials and compliance documentation.
  • Conduct legal research and support ad hoc matters, including corporate filings and IP-related issues.
  • Liaise with external counsel in the US, UK, and other jurisdictions on compliance and contract-related matters.
  • Maintain legal templates, playbooks, and knowledge management tools, and help drive adoption of legal AI tools.
  • Partner with the COO and Counsel, IP Litigation & Enforcement, to execute and enforce legal compliance requirements and standards.
