Requirements
- Have 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role or equivalent at an API-first or dev-tools company.
- Have a strong practical understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, authentication, webhooks, pagination, and rate limits.
- Be comfortable using Postman or curl and reading logs.
- Be able to write or adapt small code examples in a language such as JavaScript or Python.
- Have experience driving adoption in complex organizations, including navigating between the buyer and the deploying team.
- Have startup experience at a company under 50 people.
- Communicate clearly in written and spoken English with developers and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Work Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. US Eastern Time, with occasional calls outside those hours for APAC partners and key implementation milestones.
Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of 10–15 strategic accounts and serve as the primary technical contact for API partners.
- Support technical evaluations by joining sales calls, demonstrating API capabilities, and explaining integration approaches.
- Lead partner implementations by creating integration plans, guiding developers through setup and testing, and tracking progress through launch.
- Investigate API requests, responses, logs, authentication issues, and integration behavior before escalating.
- Coordinate with engineering by providing reproduction steps, evidence, and customer impact for issues requiring deeper investigation.
- Create and maintain API guides, Postman collections, code examples, FAQs, and onboarding playbooks.
- Share partner feedback and recurring integration patterns to inform product improvements.
- Lead account expansion by cross-selling relevant features and products.
