Requirements
- Bring a strong technical background and the ability to understand backend, API, performance, and migration challenges.
- Have more than six years of management experience and a track record of transformation.
- Have concrete experience with a large-scale migration or modernization project, in any role.
- Have strong AI expertise and experience establishing an AI-first approach in a team of senior developers.
- Be fluent in French and English.
- Distributed architecture and large-scale microservices experience is a plus.
- Be able to translate product priorities into technical decisions and vice versa.
- Experience with high-load APIs or scalability challenges is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the APIs & Performance team of five backend developers and oversee six contractors.
- Structure the team's backlog, grooming, Scrum practices, and prioritization.
- Advance automation of workflows and test generation, and use AI for monitoring and anomaly detection.
- Apply production experience from large-scale migration or modernization work to technical decisions.
- Build a culture where team members proactively share progress and information.
- Collaborate with the VP Core Software on day-to-day operations.
- Contribute to the long-term technical direction for execution, maintainability, scalability, and monitoring.
