Requirements
- Have experience as a Tech Product Owner, Business Analyst, System Analyst, or in a similar role.
- Understand data structures, data models, data sources, pipelines, transformations, and data quality.
- Be able to explain data and validate its meaning and usage with data owners.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements for data and engineering teams.
- Have experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira.
- Be familiar with Databricks, Azure data services, and Power BI.
- Use SQL or equivalent data investigation techniques to explore data, validate requirements, and investigate quality issues.
- Have experience with Agile ways of working, Jira, and Confluence.
- Bring strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
- Be proactive and curious, and able to investigate data issues independently.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end functional delivery of data platform initiatives, from discovery and scope definition through requirements, development coordination, validation, stakeholder acceptance, and handover.
- Gather and document business and data requirements.
- Translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira.
- Analyze and validate data structures, sources, transformations, and business rules.
- Validate data quality and the consistency of resulting outputs.
- Maintain project and data documentation in Confluence.
- Provide reporting and analytics teams with clear definitions, data context, and downstream reporting requirements.
