Requirements
- Have strong professional software engineering experience and independently design, build, debug, deploy, and maintain production systems.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Python and experience using it in production.
- Have full-stack development capabilities, including practical TypeScript and React experience.
- Bring strong SQL skills and experience with relational data, APIs, client datasets, and production data integrations.
- Have hands-on experience deploying and maintaining applications in AWS or Azure.
- Have experience with containers and infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform.
- Have experience owning systems across application development, integrations, infrastructure, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Lead client-facing technical discussions, explain complex concepts clearly, manage expectations, and constructively challenge requirements when appropriate.
- Understand the business outcomes and problems behind technical requirements.
- Apply a production-focused approach to reliability, observability, maintainability, debugging, and real-world system performance.
- Have experience using AI-powered development and coding tools in a professional engineering workflow.
- Work independently and manage priorities in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English; professional proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is advantageous.
- Enterprise implementation, airline technology, pricing, forecasting, revenue management, production data pipelines, Parquet, Snowflake, and startup experience are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Own airline-client implementations from requirements and solution design through development, deployment, operation, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain client-specific Adapter functionality across frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, business rules, and data exports.
- Develop production software using Python, TypeScript, React, SQL, and related technologies.
- Integrate applications with client datasets, APIs, infrastructure, and production data flows.
- Deploy and operate applications and infrastructure in enterprise AWS or Azure environments.
- Troubleshoot production issues and maintain reliable, observable, and maintainable implementations.
- Lead client technical discussions, explain technical decisions, and manage implementation expectations.
- Analyze recommendation results with airline revenue management teams and translate findings into technical or product improvements.
- Collaborate with data science, product, and engineering teams on client-specific versus shared product functionality.
- Use AI coding tools and bring recurring client needs into roadmap discussions and shared product development.
