Requirements
- Have 8+ years of professional experience in UX design, product design, front-end development, UX engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrate UX/UI design strength, including interaction design, visual design, information architecture, and usability-centered product thinking.
- Be able to build high-fidelity prototypes and functional front-end experiences.
- Have professional experience using React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Translate detailed product requirements and ambiguous early-stage concepts into usable front-end designs and prototypes.
- Interpret user research or usability-testing findings and translate them into design improvements.
- Have experience working across cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects or priorities.
- Make sound independent recommendations about user experience direction, prototype design, and front-end tradeoffs.
- Be comfortable working where processes, pathways, and technical structures are still being built.
- Preferred: experience designing and prototyping AI-enabled products and conducting or closely supporting user testing for digital tools.
- Preferred: education or education technology experience and familiarity with ADA and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
- Preferred: portfolio evidence of shipped interfaces and/or functional prototypes, with the ability to explain design and technical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and front-end development of AI-enabled product experiences across the innovation portfolio.
- Translate product requirements, user research, and emerging ideas into clear, testable front-end experiences.
- Build high-fidelity prototypes and functional front-end experiences.
- Clarify front-end possibilities, identify design tradeoffs, and help product teams make decisions.
- Shape reusable interface patterns and components across tools.
- Interpret user research and usability-testing findings and prioritize design improvements.
- Collaborate with product leaders, directors, user researchers, and external development partners.
- Represent product priorities with external development partners and navigate shared dependencies.
