Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent relevant professional experience may substitute.
- Have seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in data engineering, data integration, database or data architecture, analytics engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrate experience designing, developing, and sustaining automated, scheduled ETL/ELT pipelines that integrate multiple enterprise data sources.
- Have strong experience with data modeling, relational or analytical database design, source-to-target mapping, data lineage, data quality, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
- Be proficient in SQL and experienced with at least one enterprise data integration, transformation, orchestration, or pipeline-development toolset.
- Have experience working in Agile environments with version control, testing, documentation, and iterative release practices.
- Be able to explain technical dependencies, data-quality findings, integration risks, and solution options to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to satisfy required background investigation, CAC, and Government logical-access requirements are required.
- Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience is preferred, including pipelines, transforms, lineage, ontology or data-model concepts, scheduling or orchestration, and operational analytics.
- Experience with logistics, maintenance, readiness, aviation, flight-management, or other complex operational datasets is preferred.
- Experience with Air Force or DoD enterprise data environments, or comparable Government-authoritative systems, is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Premium, SharePoint Online, or comparable Government cloud environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess enterprise data sources, schemas, source keys, refresh needs, data owners, and access dependencies.
- Design, configure, schedule, and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines using approved tools and environments.
- Develop source-to-target mappings, transformation specifications, data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and data architecture standards.
- Build reusable ingestion frameworks and data models for current requirements and future authorized analytics workloads.
- Implement data profiling, validation, cleansing, integrity checks, exception handling, and reconciliation.
- Lead root-cause analysis and resolve data mapping, transformation, refresh, performance, and pipeline issues.
- Provide curated datasets, semantic-model inputs, refresh schedules, and traceable business rules to analytics and Power BI professionals.
- Build or support UAT scripts, release validation, pipeline monitoring, data-freshness checks, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain code, configurations, documentation, and technical artifacts in designated repositories.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical sessions, and approved onsite integration or knowledge-transfer activities.
