Requirements
- Have at least 6 years of experience developing new application solutions, maintaining existing applications, and providing ongoing production support.
- Have at least 5 years of professional experience as a PowerBuilder Developer.
- Have at least 3 years of experience designing, developing, and analyzing relational databases, including stored procedures.
- Have at least 2 years of experience maintaining and enhancing legacy applications.
- Have experience with version control systems such as Team Foundation Server.
- Have strong operational knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including database creation and administration.
- Bring knowledge of data processing, n-tier technology platforms, and enterprise software applications.
- Understand systems networking, information security, relational databases, and web services design standards.
- Have experience developing and implementing operational standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Preferred: experience with .NET, Power BI, Microsoft Azure databases and tools, Sybase-to-SQL Server conversions, other programming languages, web development technologies, or cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
- Preferred: understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies, with strong SQL development experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, maintain, and support enterprise applications based on documented business requirements.
- Estimate effort across the software development lifecycle and assess service requests to recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with architects and technical teams to define application architecture, requirements, integrations, and technology solutions.
- Develop application code, technical specifications, architecture components, and technical interfaces using PowerBuilder and related technologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain relational databases, stored procedures, and data-processing components.
- Integrate third-party tools and applications and review system and integration testing activities.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, and validation of functional and non-functional components.
- Analyze data integrity issues, troubleshoot application problems, and implement corrective solutions.
- Provide production support and document code, configurations, maintenance procedures, operational processes, and deployments.
