Requirements

  • Have a demonstrable track record of creating pipeline, developing customer relationships and winning new business.
  • Communicate confidently and credibly with decision-makers and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Generate opportunities, open new accounts and lead commercial conversations.
  • Organise and manage multiple complex opportunities and priorities with commercial discipline.
  • Work collaboratively across sales, technical, projects, service and commercial teams.
  • Understand customer decision-making, procurement routes and stakeholder influence.
  • Demonstrate resilience, sound judgement and adaptability in commercial situations.
  • Experience with developers, architects, consultants, contractors, facilities management providers, system integrators or security integrators is advantageous.
  • Business development experience in construction, security, facilities management, building products or a related solution-led environment is advantageous.
  • Build knowledge of Gunnebo products, services, customer sectors and competitive position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy for the Midlands and North UK, identifying priority sectors, customers, projects and influencers.
  • Own the territory prospect base, sales pipeline, forecasting and territory plan.
  • Qualify inbound and self-generated opportunities against commercial, technical and strategic criteria.
  • Lead customer meetings, site discussions and commercial presentations, involving technical specialists where required.
  • Translate customer security, operational and budget requirements into solution strategies and value propositions.
  • Coordinate proposals, presentations and commercial submissions to align with customer needs.
  • Build relationships with new and existing clients and identify cross-selling, upgrade and partnership opportunities.
  • Maintain CRM, pipeline and forecasting information to support commercial planning and management decisions.
  • Monitor territory projects, market trends and competitor activity, and recommend actions to maintain opportunity momentum.
  • Represent Gunnebo at trade shows, industry events, partner meetings and customer visits; travel regularly across the Midlands and North UK.
