Requirements
- Hold an active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5–7 years of cloud architecture experience, or a master’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of cloud computing principles, architectures, and implementation practices.
- Have experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Be familiar with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Have experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions across front-end, back-end, and operational delivery environments.
- Know cloud-native services, serverless architectures, and microservices.
- Have experience with system integration, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Be familiar with cybersecurity best practices and software security protocols.
- Have experience with government and defense-related systems engineering.
- Hold one or more of these certifications: CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA Security+, GICSP, SSCP, or GSEC.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop cloud computing strategies, adoption plans, and application architectures.
- Lead cloud implementation projects and deployments across IaaS and PaaS environments.
- Collaborate with cloud service providers to design and implement system architectures.
- Translate high-level system requirements into technical and implementation specifications.
- Assess current architectures and recommend future-state architecture and cloud adoption.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, system updates, connectivity, and infrastructure reliability.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to define system capabilities and interface requirements.
- Support customer onboarding and serve as a technical liaison for customers and business development initiatives.
- Ensure contractual deliverables meet required standards and customer expectations.
