Requirements
- Hold board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Hold an active license to practice as a PMHNP in North Carolina.
- Hold an active DEA license in North Carolina.
- Have 2+ years of experience providing mental health services as a PMHNP.
- Have experience providing remote outpatient telepsychiatry to adults.
- Be willing to obtain licensure in other states; the posting states the employer will cover the cost.
- Additional PMHNP licensure in New York, Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Washington, or California is noted.
Responsibilities
- Conduct remote 55-minute psychiatry assessments and 25-minute follow-up sessions.
- Provide medication management and brief psychotherapeutic support during sessions.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Integrate brief psychotherapy when clinically appropriate.
- Partner with therapists through the shared EHR system and consultation spaces.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical leadership and share feedback on clinical care delivery.
- Use data-informed tools and measurement-based care to tailor treatment plans.
