Requirements
- Be enrolled at a U.S. law school.
- Have completed at least one year of law school before the internship commences.
- Have excellent research skills, including experience conducting internet searches and using Westlaw, PACER, and other law-related databases.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills, including for in-person and teleconferencing settings.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Adhere to deadlines.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship.
Responsibilities
- Draft memoranda, motions, and portions of briefs.
- Conduct legal and factual research concerning issues and cases in state courts around the country, with a focus on state supreme courts.
- Track cases and issues of interest to the State Supreme Court Initiative.
