Requirements
- Be enrolled at a U.S. law school.
- Have completed at least one year of law school before the internship begins.
- Demonstrate excellent research skills, including internet and legal database research.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Show initiative in seeing projects through to completion.
- Commit to 35 hours per week for 10 consecutive weeks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research, including internet and legal database research.
- Draft legal writing, including memos and portions of court submissions.
- Conduct factual investigations.
- Support preparation for and participation in depositions, oral arguments, hearings, or trials.
- Assist with litigation and integrated advocacy on the veterans’ docket.
