Requirements
- Be a currently matriculated legal student enrolled at a U.S. law school.
- Be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship.
- Have excellent research skills, including internet and legal database research.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate attention to detail.
- Have strong organizing and time-management skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Show initiative to see projects through to completion.
- Personal, professional, and/or academic experience with disability and disability rights is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research.
- Draft legal writing, including memos and portions of court submissions.
- Conduct factual investigations.
- Support preparation for court cases.
- Support litigation and integrated advocacy across the program’s priority areas.
- Participate in litigation, advocacy, and internal meetings and discussions.
