Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
- Have at least 5 years of experience in automated testing.
- Have experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Gherkin, SQL, or Ruby/Rails.
- Bring a mindset focused on holistic quality.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest/Puppeteer, Playwright, Postman, JMeter, or another object-oriented automated testing framework is preferred.
- Experience with testing support tools such as GitHub Actions, LambdaTest, SendGrid, Datadog, or PagerDuty is preferred.
- Understanding of quality management systems and quality control processes is preferred.
- A background in data-based testing or security-based testing is preferred.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Build regression automation scripts that support application functionality.
- Manually test software for validation and accuracy against defined criteria.
- Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance, and other tests to verify software behavior.
- Document feature behavior and record test pass/fail conditions, correlating failures with bugs.
- Identify and escalate risks to product or process quality.
- Collaborate with the product team to maintain quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
- Work with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback into the testing strategy.
- Participate in refinement and effort estimation to support accurate planning.
- Use GitHub to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and support automated quality practices.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
