Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of related professional experience.
- Extensive experience with healthcare interoperability, enterprise application integration, and healthcare interface development.
- Strong experience with HL7 v2, MLLP, healthcare interface engines, data transformation, and message routing.
- Experience with Apache NiFi, Open Integration Engine, EHR integration, and complex healthcare data flows.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills for complex interface and data-flow issues.
- Additional experience with Java, scripting, XML, JSON, SQL, APIs, and enterprise integration technologies.
- Experience integrating claims data, public health data, Clinical Health Information Exchange systems, and external healthcare partners.
- Experience with FHIR-based integrations and collaboration with FHIR engineering teams.
- Experience supporting federal healthcare programs or government healthcare organizations is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement healthcare integrations connecting applications, data sources, EHR systems, claims systems, public health systems, and external partners.
- Engineer and configure MLLP gateways, Apache NiFi processing pipelines, Open Integration Engine adapters, and healthcare interfaces.
- Develop and support bidirectional Clinical Health Information Exchange and partner exchange integrations.
- Evaluate systems, interfaces, data flows, and integration requirements to design interoperability solutions.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, routing, interface configuration, and testing.
- Troubleshoot complex interface and data-flow issues and provide production support.
- Collaborate with architects, FHIR engineers, developers, testers, onboarding teams, and external partners to meet integration requirements.
