Requirements
- Currently serving in the United States military and eligible for the SkillBridge program.
- Seeking an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree in cybersecurity, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- Have at least two years of information technology experience.
- Be proficient in Linux and Windows.
- Have exposure to core information security functions, including network and application vulnerability testing, role-based access control (RBAC), security information and event management, and/or computer incident management.
- Have exposure to three or more of the listed security technologies or qualifications.
- Hold Sec+, CCP, CCA, or an equivalent certification, or have experience with NIST SP 800-171, SP 800-53, CSF, or RMF.
- Have experience with Azure, GCC, or GCC-High.
- Have knowledge of firewalls, malware protection, and IPS; network vulnerability testing; or encryption technologies such as IPSec and SSL.
- Have a home office environment and sufficient internet connectivity for remote work.
- Pass a background check and obtain approval for the program from a commanding officer.
- Complete an internship lasting a minimum of 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Audit servers, firewalls, and Microsoft 365 configurations.
- Develop monthly CMMC compliance reports.
- Lead CMMC compliance, risk, and security assessments.
- Manage customer evidence artifacts, POA&Ms, and SSPs.
- Maintain organizational GRC policies, standards, and procedures.
- Manage organizational security awareness programs, including CUI training, insider threat, annual awareness, and privileged-user training.
- Manage the organization's GRC toolkit and incident response program.
- Participate in industry-related activities and customer meetings.
- Write three 1,000-word articles or blog posts on cybersecurity topics.
