Requirements
- Be currently serving in the United States military.
- Be eligible for the SkillBridge program and approved for the program by a commanding officer.
- Be seeking an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- Have at least two years of information technology experience.
- Have exposure to core information security functions, including network and application vulnerability testing, role-based access control (RBAC), security information and event management, and/or computer incident management.
- Be proficient in Linux and Windows.
- Have exposure to three or more listed security technologies, including scripting, networking, Microsoft Windows, security frameworks, firewalls, vulnerability testing, encryption, or SIEM technologies.
- Pass a background check before beginning work.
- Have a home office environment and sufficient Internet connectivity for remote work.
- Network+, CCNA, Security+, or other cybersecurity-related certifications are desired.
Responsibilities
- Gain business and technical exposure to network security, identity and access management, security operations, endpoint threat protection, incident response, governance, risk and compliance, and other cybersecurity functions.
- Participate in industry-related activities.
- Participate in customer meetings.
- Author three 1,000-word articles or blog posts on cybersecurity-related topics.
- Complete training and on-the-job learning, primarily delivered using Microsoft Teams.
